We have no contracts at Hinutech.  If you aren't amazingly thrilled with our services, we don't want your money.  We have a single form on our customer web site that, upon becoming a customer, you can fill out telling us you'd like to discontinue service, and upon receipt of that request, we discontinue your service.

This provides transparency to our operations and gives our customers confidence that they aren't making a bad decision.  This is how we like to be treated, so shouldn't we treat our customers the same way?

Privacy Policy

Hinutech, LLC (Hinutech) has created this privacy statement ("Statement") in order to demonstrate our commitment to customer privacy. Privacy on Hinutech owned web sites (“Site”) is of great importance to us. We have established this Statement as a means to communicate our information gathering and dissemination practices.


Collected Information:
We require customers who register to use the services offered on our Site (“Service”) to give us contact information, such as their name, company name, address, phone number, and e-mail address, and billing information. At the time you express interest in attaining additional information, or when you register for the Service, we may also ask for additional personal information, such as title, department name, fax number, or additional company information, such as annual revenues, number of employees, or industry. Customers can opt out of providing this additional information by not entering it when asked. Customers can update or remove their personal information at any time by logging into the Website and editing their Personal Information within Setup. Customers can view their updated profile to confirm their edits have been made.

Hinutech uses the information that we collect to set up the Service for individuals and their organizations. We may also use the information to contact customers to further discuss customer interest in our company, the Service that we provide, and to send information regarding our company or partners, such as promotions and events. Customer email addresses and any personal customer information will not be distributed or shared with third parties. Customers can opt out of being contacted by us, or receiving such information from us, at any time by sending an email to support@hinutech.com. Separately, customers are also asked to provide an email address when registering for the Service, in order to receive a username and password. We may also email information regarding updates to the Service or company, and will send a Customer Newsletter. Again, email will not be distributed or shared and customers can opt out of receiving any communication by emailing support@hinutech.com at the time it is distributed, or at the time any customer registers for the Service.

Except as we explicitly state at the time we request information, or as provided for in the Subscription Agreement, we do not disclose to third parties the information provided. All financial and billing information that we collect through the Site is used solely to check the qualifications of prospective customers and to bill for the Service.

Customers of the Service will be using the Site to host data and information ("Data"). Hinutech will not review, share, distribute, print, or reference any such Data except as provided in the Hinutech's Subscription Agreement, or as may be required by law. Individual records may at times be viewed or accessed only for the purpose of resolving a problem, support issue, or suspected violation of the Subscription Agreement, or as may be required by law. Of course, customers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of their user registration and password.

Hinutech may also collect certain information from visitors to and customers of the Site, such as Internet addresses. This information is logged to help diagnose technical problems, and to administer our Site in order to constantly improve the quality of the Service. We may also track and analyze non-identifying and aggregate usage and volume statistical information from our visitors and customers and provide such information to third parties.

 

Support Policy

We take great pride in providing excellent customer service to our customers.  For the most part, support issues can be resolved when customers report issues and provide detailed steps to reproduce the issues.  On occasion, it becomes necessary to see the issue first hand when other mechanisms to reproduce it are not effective.  By using Hinutech's software and services, customers agree to allow us to have remote access to their machines.  We have partnered with FogCreek Software and utilize their Copilot service which allows us to securely and easily have access to your machine after you have granted consent.  Hinutech takes the privacy of our customers very seriously and guarantees that this capability will be used for support purposes only. 

Supported Browsers

We do not support Internet Explorer 6.  In order to use products and sites designed by Hinutech without browser-related issues, Internet Explorer 6 users should upgrade to a newer browser:

The Internet Explorer 6 browser was released back in 2001.  It's replacement, Internet Explorer 7, was released in 2006.   Modern web browsers such as IE7, Firefox, Safari, Opera and Flock provide much better online experiences and significantly improve the security of their users.

Why Don't We Support IE6?

Frankly, one of our core values is to make the web a better place.  By supporting a browser that is antiquated and disregards standards put forth by the W3C, we are encouraging bad behavior on the part of users.  It also comes down to a matter of cost.  The new economy is fast-moving, and the time and effort needed to support IE6 for a diminishing group of users prevents us from effectively creating innovative solutions for the majority of our customers.

Frankly, there is no reason to support Internet Explorer 6 at this time since there are so many better alternatives available. 

What Browsers Do We Recommend?

Firefox continues to be our favorite browser.  Because of its open source nature, it adheres to web standards.  It is much more light-weight than Internet Explorer and offers a good environment for those who use it.  Whether you use a Mac or Windows, Firefox is a great browser.  We like Safari as well, and since its introduction on the Windows platform in 2008, it offers a worthy alternative to Internet Explorer.  With that said, the majority of visitors use Internet Explorer 7.  Although we have a distaste for IE7 and all of its foibles, we live with it.

Special Note Regarding Browser Add-Ons

Because of the numerous browser Add-Ons available, we cannot test our software with every conceivable add-on.  Subsequently, if a browser Add-On is causing issues with using Hinutech's software, it will be necessary for customers to remove or disable the plugin.
